Release Athens X SNF Nostos: Photo-story Day 1
The third day of Release Athens 2023 also marked the start of Release Athens X SNF Nostos.
The day began at Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre (SNFCC) Great Lawn with Sidarta and his personal take on the hip-hop/trap that made him a star of the local scene, and then we enjoyed IAMDDB, a truly special artist who wowed us with her performance. Finally, Central Cee set the SNFCC Great Lawn on fire – almost literally – with an electrifying show in front of his dedicated fans.
At Plateia Nerou, on the second stage of Release Athens X SNF Nostos, the first act to perform was Kandè, who had no trouble winning over the crowd, while Ayra Starr who came out next, really stole the show. The young (just 21 years old) singer, although surprised to have so many fans who knew all her songs by heart, delivered a flawless show and earned a huge round of applause. The same was true of Tinashe’s performance, as the multi-talented and stunning American artist put on a delightful, dance show.
The finale, of course, belonged to Rosalía, who surpassed all expectations and seems to be defining the meaning of pop entertainment. Τhe unstoppable Spaniard gave an incredible performance that we’ll never forget.
Release Athens continues today, Wednesday June 21st, with the second day of Release Athens X SNF Nostos featuring Röyksopp, Tash Sultana, M83, OMD, Dub Inc, Groundation and Mikros.
