Release Athens 2022: Photo-story Day 10

The tenth day of Release Athens 2022 was a deafening reminder that rock’n’roll will never die.

In the beginning, it was ΛDΛM who wowed the crowd with a flawless set, followed by Deaf Radio with a brand new single and, as they announced, a new album in the fall.

At 19:30 it was Blues Pills’ turn with a dazzling Elin Larsson plowing the stage and impressively performing all of the band’s finest songs while at the end she dived into the audience for an unforgettable crowdsurfing!

The follow-up was even more impressive, in a performance we’ve been dreaming about for years. The Hellacopters left no stone unturned, proved why they are considered one of the truly iconic bands of rock’n’roll.

At the headline slot, we had Clutch, on their return to Release Athens, where they presented a stellar set, full of great hits (“The mob goes wild”, “Quick death in Texas”, “Elephant Riders”, “Spacegrass” etc.) and at the end they had a surprise for us with “Electric Worry”, which they hadn’t played at all in this year’s tour.
