The iconic Pendulum and the British duet, Bob Vylan, at Release Athens 2025

Release Athens 2025 welcomes Pendulum on Friday July 4th, at Plateia Nerou. The Australian drum ‘n’ bass pioneers with their live band will be the very special guests of The Prodigy for an explosive, adrenaline-fueled night. The opening act will be Bob Vylan, one of the fiercest bands of the decade, in their first ever performance in Greece.

Australia’s Pendulum are undoubtedly one of the biggest electronic bands of all time. With three platinum albums to their name – their acclaimed debut, “Hold Your Colour” (2005), and the hugely successful “In Silico” (#2 in the UK charts) and “Immersion” (#1 in the UK charts) – they have sold over a million albums in the UK alone, thanks to their unique way of combining the frenetic rhythms of drum ‘n’ bass with alternative rock.

Rob Swire, Gareth McGrillen and Paul Harding have written a number of electronic music classics including “Slam”, “Granite”, “Propane Nightmares”, “Watercolour”, “Witchcraft” and their legendary remix of The Prodigy’s “Voodoo People”, while their impressive live performances have seen them headline the world’s biggest music festivals including Glastonbury, Download, Coachella, Sziget, Rock Am Ring and T In The Park.

Now, after a short hiatus, Pendulum are back with a vengeance, as evidenced by the release of the “Anima EP” (2023), featuring Matt Tuck of Bullet For My Valentine, and their biggest UK tour to date, including an iconic performance at London’s O2.

For the summer of 2025, they are preparing something equally impressive, with a full tour and a stunning live show that will culminate in the huge National Bowl in Milton Keynes in front of 65,000 people, and we are particularly excited to welcome them to Plateia Nerou on Friday July 4th alongside The Prodigy for a night that no one will want to miss!

Bob Vylan is a duo formed in 2017 by Bobby Vylan (vocals, guitar) and Bobbie Vylan (drums) to defy musical conventions, combining the raw energy of punk with the aggression of hip-hop and sharp, politicized lyrics.

Their debut album “We Live Here” (2020) was an instant hit, leading to a tour with The Offspring, while in 2022 they released the stunning “Bob Vylan Presents the Price of Life” on their own label, Ghost Theatre. The album was a commercial and artistic triumph, not only topping the UK charts (a first for an independent release) but also earning them the number one spot on the prestigious Kerrang’s Albums of the Year!

With Iggy Pop as a declared fan, Bob Vylan continued their impressive run with sold-out tours in the UK (including the legendary Electric Ballroom in London) and appearances at countless festivals such as Glastonbury, Download, Reading, Pukkelpop and many more.

Now, following the release of the most powerlful album of their career, the brilliant “Humble As The Sun” (2024), they are preparing for another huge tour in Europe and the USA, which will bring them to Athens for the first time.
