Release Athens is extremely happy to welcome the iconic Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, one of the most excitingand mesmerizing live acts in the world, on Wednesday, July 15th 2022, at Plateia Nerou for the first worldwide tour after four years that will see them headlining the biggest music festivals in Europe.
Sub-headliners, the mighty Mogwai after another critically acclaimed record (As The Love Continues) with Fontaines D.C. (one the best new bands of the last few years) at the supporting slot.
The Bad Seeds were created in 1982, after the disbandment of the renowned Birthday Party and since then they have released seventeen studio albums and sold more than five million copies around the world. The Bad Seeds have earned the respect and recognition of both fans and music critics and continue to amaze the audience every time they step on stage.
With classic songs like “Red Right Hand”, “Tupelo”, “The Mercy Seat”, “The Weeping Song”, “Do You Love Me?”, “Straight To You” and “Jubilee Street”, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds have created unforgettable tales about love, gloom, loss and fear.

Sub-headliners, the great Mogwai from Glasgow. Twenty-five years after their debut album, the Scottish group are now considered one of the best post-rock acts in the world that keeps getting better with every new release.
Their latest record, As The Love Continues, was hailed as one the best releases of 2021 while at the same time reached the top of the UK Chart and entered Billboard’s Top10!A confirmation and a justification of the band’s never-ending consistency and will to transcend musical genres.
