JC Stewart at Release Athens 2024
Release Athens 2024 welcomes JC Stewart on Thursday July 18th, at Plateia Nerou. The talented Irish singer-songwriter will join Duran Duran in one of the biggest shows of the summer.
Raised on a farm in Northern Ireland, John Callum Stewart has already achieved a lot in his 27 years. He fell in love with music and began performing solo as a teenager and self-released his first single, “Gold”, at the age of 18. At 21, he signed a record deal with Warner Music and went gold in Central and Northern Europe, and shortly afterwards teamed up with Scottish superstar Lewis Capaldi, with whom he wrote the hit “Hollywood”, which has now surpassed 80 million streams on Spotify.
His cover of “I’ll Be There For You“, the theme song from “Friends”, went viral, with Jennifer Aniston praising him, and subsequently led to his first appearances on U.S. television. Now, he has returned to his home country and over the past two years has been recognized as one of the best up-and-coming songwriters of his generation, standing out thanks to his personal style and captivating, live performances.
