Bill Ryder-Jones, will be the special guest of Beth Gibbons show
Bill Ryder-Jones, founding member of the wonderful The Coral and one of the most unique songwriters of his generation, will be the special guest on the Beth Gibbons show on Sunday 20th July at the City of Athens Lycabettus Theatre,, with the support of Release Athens 2025.
A versatile musician, composer and producer, Bill Ryder-Jones was an integral part of The Coral, the psychedelic indie-pop band from Liverpool, contributing to 5 of their albums. The rest of his career has found him constantly ‘restless’, always with introspective and adventurous solo works.
His latest album, ‘Iechyd Da’, invites you into moments of unexpected beauty and sincerity, a sonic exchange of love that has been adored by the music press, earning him a place among the top releases of 2024.
Throughout last year he was on tour, both solo and as guest of Beth Gibbons on the latter’s US shows. At the same time he has been a producer for over a decade for artists such as Yard Act, Swim Deep, Our Girl, Gerard Love & Saint Saviour.
He has also played guitar on songs by The Last Shadow Puppets, Graham Coxon (Blur) and Arctic Monkeys, and toured with them as guitarist and keyboardist on their “AM” tour in 2013.
In July 20th, the haunting and magical voice of Portishead, along with a special guest you have to discover, will offer us an evening that no music lover can afford to miss!
