Lacuna Coil emerged from Milan’s underground scene in the second half of the 1990s to become one of the most important gothic metal acts in the world. Combining heavy riffs with the charismatic vocals of Christina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro, the band soon managed to stand out and in 2002, with the release of their third album “Comalies”, Lacuna Coil gained a huge fan base and enjoyed huge success all over the world.
In the years that followed, the band continued to release successful albums such as “Karmacode” (2006), “Delirium” (2016) and “Black Anima” (2019), but also became a great live act with huge tours and appearances at the scene’s most important festivals (Download, Wacken, Ozzfest, etc.), leading up to the award they won in 2018 in the Best Live Act category at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards.
This year finds them at one of the highest points of their already rich career, as the recent release of “Sleepless Empire”, their tenth album, has been hailed by critics, recognising their ability to stay true to their roots while evolving their sound.
