Release Athens 2024: Photo-story Behemoth
Release Athens 2024 has now gone down in history, with an epic night of extreme metal.
The great Pestilence were the first to take the stage at Plateia Nerou, and with Patrick Mameli at the helm, they delivered an entertaining death metal show that delighted their fans who arrived early to enjoy them. Then it was time for Testament, who celebrated the re-release of their classics “The Legacy” and “The New Order” by performing a set of the best songs from these two albums. The American titans of thrash metal exceeded all expectations and with the unstoppable Alex Skolnick and the imposing Chuck Billy, they were electrifying.
The finale of the night and this year’s event belonged to Behemoth and the great Adam “Negral” Darski, who delivered an impressive show full of highlights: from the epic “Conquer All” at the beginning to the anthems “Demigod”, “Chant for Eschaton 2000”, the Poles were captivating from the first to the last minute. The encore of “O Father O Satan O Sun” was the right moment to close the curtain on Release Athens 2024 and officially start the preparations for 2025.
