SOFI TUKKER first show in Greece
Release Athens 2024 welcomes SOFI TUKKER on Thursday July 18th, at Plateia Nerou. The New York duo is one of the most successful dance/pop groups of recent years and this will be their first gig in Greece. Together with the iconic Duran Duran, they will give us a highly entertaining, dance show.
More names to be announced soon!
Formed in 2014 by Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, SOFI TUKKER were nominated for a Grammy with the release of their debut single ‘Drinkee’, followed by a second nomination for their debut album “Treehouse” in the “Best Dance/Electronic Album” category.
With their love of Brazilian music and culture as a reference point, SOFI TUKKER combine their diverse influences to create addictive songs, as evidenced by their big hits “Best Friend”, “Purple Hat” and “Brazilian Soul” (in collaboration with The Knocks). Meanwhile, their versatility as a live act has them selling out headline tours and packing the world’s biggest festivals such as Coachella, Lollapallooza, Bonnaroo and many more.
On Thursday July 18th, we will welcome them at Plateia Nerou where they will present, for the first time in Greece, an impressive live show that they describe as “playful, lush and brimming with bright color”.
