Black Pumas were formed in Texas in 2017 by singer-songwriter Eric Burton and guitarist-producer Adrian Quesada. They burst onto the scene in 2019 with their self-titled debut album, which was not only recognised as one of the top releases of the year, but was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Album of the Year.
Combining elements of soul, funk, R&B and psychedelic rock, the Black Pumas, thanks to Burton’s wonderful vocals and Quesada’s masterful arrangements, managed to collect six more Grammy nominations in a short period of time, release some of the best songs of recent years (“Colors”, “Black Moon Rising”, “Fire”) and sell out shows across U.S.A. and Europe.
This year, the group is preparing to embark on a new world tour to promote their long-awaited second album, which was released a few weeks ago. “Chronicles of a Diamond” is an impressive new step, full of power, passion and more originality than ever before. The album’s first two singles, “More Than A Love Song” and “Mrs. Postman”, have already surpassed 6 million streams and topped both US and local radio stations.
